Brittany on November 16th, 2008 at 10:49 pm says:
I have been concidering this iPod for a long time and I am going to get one thanks to all of these reviews i have read so far. all i need to know is that i need a screen protector and a case because it gets scratched easily.
Kaliym T. on November 22nd, 2008 at 6:49 pm says:
No, believe it or not the iPod touch has an extremely durable screen. It’s scratch resistant even to direct assault (i.e. purposely scratchin it with keys, etc). Screen protectors are available though not neccessary.
Daniel on November 27th, 2008 at 6:28 am says:
the speaker was a very good idea!
Brittney on December 4th, 2008 at 2:14 am says:
So which is true? Does it scratch easily or not because some people are saying it does and others it dosent?
someone on December 10th, 2008 at 7:27 pm says:
wouldnt that get annoying? having to touch it all the time and not just being able to push buttons?
Pete on December 11th, 2008 at 9:16 am says:
no it works really well, you can type as fast as most phones.
Michael on December 26th, 2008 at 8:00 am says:
I just got one and the only problem i have is that it gets smudges all over the screen and back very easily.Other than that i am happy with it.
John on December 27th, 2008 at 3:30 am says:
I got this for Christmas and have an almost unhealthy love for it. It never leaves my side unlike previous iPods I have owned. It’ll change your life.
Chantelle on December 29th, 2008 at 1:30 am says:
Is the ipod touch 2nd generation better than the first? They have video, audio and what else?
Pete on December 29th, 2008 at 11:05 am says:
Its better in a few ways such as the external speaker and better processor but in the large they are identical.
Chantelle on December 31st, 2008 at 9:44 am says:
Are touch’s better than the ipod nano 4th generation?
Pete on December 31st, 2008 at 12:10 pm says:
they serve different markets - it depends if you want something very small to play music or something slightly larger which has the ability to add apps etc
Kieran on January 22nd, 2009 at 2:08 am says:
actually the first gen is considered better becauuse of the jailbreak and free software noobz!
ipod fanatic on January 24th, 2009 at 10:19 pm says:
The 2nd gen.ipod touch is sooo awesome! ilove how it puts my friends other ipods to shame lol this is a definate must have ipod!!!
iPodHistory on January 30th, 2009 at 3:17 pm says:
I want one now!
Paige on February 2nd, 2009 at 11:54 pm says:
Other than the speaker and the volume and thinner design, its much like the first one. I dont really care about those. I would much settle for the ‘1st Generation’. But the iPod Touch is amazing. It does break easily [experience] but the battery is quite okay.
EricAhaha on February 6th, 2009 at 3:46 am says:
I feel sad for people with 1st Gen
apple lover on February 9th, 2009 at 6:21 pm says:
I have an iPod touch and i love it! i recommend it to anyone. this is better to get than the 1st generation because you are able to add apps which always you to do so much more. the only thing i would suggest is to be careful with it because it scratches easily on the back. and the battery is ok not the best.
me on February 11th, 2009 at 8:26 pm says:
i feel like the 1st gen ipod is so gay

Frodo on April 4th, 2009 at 3:48 pm says:
I have the old 2G nano and I’m thinking of getting an iPod Touch. Do you think it is worth $299, or should I keep my nano?
Mrmclaren27 on April 6th, 2009 at 4:02 am says:
Hey frodo, it is definately worth the 300 bucks. I just got it two days ago. When I went to the apple store to go get it, it wasn’t a big deal to me because I thought it was just another
Mp3 player. But I got a 16 gig and there is
So many things
On here that it blows the rest away. Apps, Internet, email, I
Mean the list never ends man. Get it. You will not be dissapointed.
Frodo on April 6th, 2009 at 4:00 pm says:
Thanks. I can’t wait to get it. My friend got it a few months ago and I was sooo jealous. I didn’t think I should go and buy a new iPod when I already had one though. But the iPod Touch is THE best iPod ever! Plus, the 2G nano doesn’t have a great screen, it freezes, and I could probably sell it on eBay for at least $60.
Shaniqua on April 6th, 2009 at 4:05 pm says:
nick is right. every time you buy an iPod a new one comes out! It’s so mean. =(
Mrmclaren27 on April 6th, 2009 at 7:52 pm says:
Hey frodo, I have an old second gen iPod nano too. It served it’s purpose but they are extremely outdated. These iPods are and will be the best iPods and will last you for quite a while
Frodo on April 8th, 2009 at 1:57 pm says:
Good. If I sell my nano on eBay, how much do you think I’ll get? I can’t wait until I get the Touch!
Mrmclaren27 on April 8th, 2009 at 9:55 pm says:
I think you woulg get around 60 bucks for it. But it’s a little you can put toward your touch
Frodo on April 9th, 2009 at 11:58 pm says:
Oh, that’s good. I was wondering just ONE more thing… I read a review on it a while back and it said that the Touch requires updates to be paid for and that makes the iPod cost more money than the starting prices. Do you know if this is extremely important to know, or the reviewer just can’t think of anything else bad to say about the Touch?
Mrmclaren27 on April 10th, 2009 at 1:16 am says:
Yeah, the iPod touch software updates do need to be paid for, but thats like the only extra thing that needs to be paid. Unless you’re planning to go on the iTunes store or App Store and buy a bunch of stuff, then you’re good. That guy was just trying to find something bad to say about it.
Jonno on April 15th, 2009 at 5:24 am says:
this is an excelent iPod. i love it how Apple has gone forth a mile and blown all their competition away with one fowl swoop! The touchscreen works amazingly well, and the features are intuitive and interesting. the controls havnt got boring for me and ive had this for 2 years! i simply monumental acheivement for apple here.
Frodo on April 19th, 2009 at 2:51 pm says:
Which iPod Touch size is best to get?
Mrmclaren27 on April 19th, 2009 at 3:30 pm says:
the best size depends on how much music and movies and pictures you have and how much you’re planning to buy. I got 8 gb because I don’t have much music or videos and pictures. I also jailbroke it using quickfreedom which I HIGHLY recommend. But don’t hold me responsible if you screw up your iPod because you can’t follow simple directions.
Mrmclaren27 on April 19th, 2009 at 3:33 pm says:
Oh and on a reply to frodo I said I got a 16 gb. Well I had to return it because the software messed up and I got an 8 gb and bought a case for it using the 340 the 16 gb cost me.
dubduece on April 24th, 2009 at 4:56 am says:
word of advice. im on my 3rd touch bcause of jailbreaking. i got a used 1st gen 32 gig this time round jus to have the room for movies n shite. i actually like this one over the 2nd gen, that i fackd up last time, but i DO NOT recommend anyone jailbreaking their ipod. having a useless brick sucks, not to mention owning two that i CANT DO ANYTHING with!
Mrmclaren27 on April 24th, 2009 at 10:43 pm says:
Haha well dubduece looks like you really cAn’t follow simple directions because my jailbreak worked fine. And I’ve jailbroken all of my friends ipod touches and they all worked out fine. So just because it doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean that nobodys will work. Don’t make people afraid of doing it because you can’t do it right.
Lana on April 25th, 2009 at 9:57 pm says:
What is jailbraking your ipod touch? Does that get rid of the warranty? What is the point? What can you even do with it? And what’s the best way to do it? (i.e. which one should I use?)
Mrmclaren27 on April 26th, 2009 at 12:13 am says:
Jailbreaking your iPod is basically installing two programs. Cydia and installer are the two. All they do is let you download games and themes and backgrounds for your iPod for free. It does void the warranty but as long as you’re careful it should work
Jordan on April 28th, 2009 at 11:32 pm says:
err. My screen is mad scratched up without a cover. So is the back metal part.
I’m sure if I took a key to it, would definitely be destroyed
Chris Montgomery on May 1st, 2009 at 12:08 am says:
Ya I believe that the very first Ipod ever made back in 2001 is THEE best Ipod ever created………….Naw i wuz just kidding. I got a 16 GB Ipod touch back in October of 2008 and I love it. I just prefered that I got the 32 GB for $200 under my replacement plan with my waranty.

Frodo on May 24th, 2009 at 10:36 pm says:
Al, you should get a nano if you just want music and some video in a tiny player, but if you want apps, internet and better games, definatly get the iPod
Touch!!!!
