I just got this to add to my collection. I love it except for the following gripes (which I expected from reading about it):

1) lack of case and screen protection in box to keep finger prints off the screen and back of the iTouch.

2) Battery life. I wonder if the extended life battery packs for the iPhone will work with this. I have to keep my iTouch connected to my PC whenever I am home and I may pick up the battery pack and a car charger.

3) Cost of the 64GB iTouch kept me from buying it (nearly $400 without tax). I almost bought the 160 GB Classic for what I paid for this thing.

4) Access to the entire 64 GB of space (31 apps, 1 created web clip, and just under 2500 songs and my iTouch has 1.4GB free space left).

This is crap man it was supposed to have a camera and a mic on it like the iPod nano. It’s pretty much the 2nd generation but a little faster and more space. Still though iPod touch is really cool, I couldn’t live w/out mine. (ps leaving this comment from my iPod touch 2nd gen 16gb

This comes in an 8GB also. I loved my ipod touch 2g and thought i was gonna cry when i heard that there was gonna be a touch 3gen!!! but then i laughed it off when i heard it was pretty much the same. Apple could’ve added a radio AND a camera couldn’t they? I think they were just rushing. -.-

the touch sucks, i traded mine in for a 5th gen nano.Did you know if you drop your nano in water and place it in a wast cloth it will still work.So buy the 5th gen nano or else

Does anybody know of a usb car charger that works with the iTouch 3rd generation? Have looked all over the web and no luck. Am also looking for a wall outlet charger. Seems like they all stop at iTouch 2nd gen.
