Dang I just got the other ipod nano last december and they already have a new one. It looks just the same just a bigger-ish screen and a camera..I have a camera so i dont need it..im sticking to my red 4th generation =]

Just got one. Video camera is amazing…. it looks good fullscreen on a computer. The radio is good, and they also managed to improve the sound quality of the ipod. Best sounding ipod yet (i have used touch 2nd gen, ipod nano 1st, 3rd and 4th).
The only gripe is that the small click wheel makes it hard to navigate, and/or play games. my fingers arent big either.

The camera and radio have good quality. I LOVE The built in speaker, so I dont always have to use headphones if I’m just laying down listening to music.
I wish they made the screen wider, and not longer, watching video on the side bothers me. I STILL Have my 4th generation nano though. I Love them both (:

Great improovments, though they have a more metallic kind of polished metal on them instead of the rougher looking 3rd and 4th gens, so its easy to scratch.
The screen is now longer so you can watch widescreen videos.
I think they designed new headphones to work also as a radio antenna; they’re also a little too long.
Its only video which kinda sucks I’m not sure if they’re going to be releasing an update or something to download so it can take photos but the sound/quality on the camera is great.
and everyone complaining about how the scroll wheel is smaller it isn’t, I compared it with my 4th gen and there the same size, they just put it down lower so they could put on the screen.
also the built-in speaker is a nice touch but could be a little louder.

Yea, i have to admit, it is kind of laggy and unresponsive. The clickwheel sometimes fails to register button presses.

@Jack: I measured it with a ruler. 4th gen nano has a 2.8mm clickwheel (0.11 inches) and the new nano has a clickwheel of 2.6mm (0.10 inches) from top to bottom and left to right. It is technically smaller.
@Sofie: Err… this hasnt been out for a year… you probably have a 4th gen.
