that shake and it shuffles is so retarded. you have to shake it like super hard and most of the time it wouldnt shuffle but just switch straight to cover art flow

I bought one a month after it came out (16gb, black), and it is brilliant. It is everything that I need from a media player, and it is breathtakingly small. You can’t appreciate how small it is until you have one in your hand.
Highly recommended.

I love this iPod, I bought it about a month ago, and no, it’s not hard to shake it at all. And who says you have to shake it in the first place? Just set it to shuffle…
Either way, this iPod is very hard to beat. Touchscreens are much more annoying than the shake, if you put it in your pocket at the wrong time everything goes wrong. But I love the slim design, and how easily I can slip it into my pocket. Not to mention how seriously the color kicks ass. I know I sound like a nerd typing this, but I’m a nerd who LOVES HIS IPOD =]

I agree, it’s absolutely awesome, I got mine 3 weeks after it came out and it’s sooooo thin, I can’t believe it, my friend has an iPhone and the touch screen sucks, I got a 4 G and mine’s already full!! iPod 4eva!!!

Got the black 16GB 4th Gen Nano to complete my collection (I also have a 2nd Gen 2GB Shuffle, 3rd Gen 8GB Nano and an 6th Gen 80GB Classic). All of them are my favorites. I swap out between them depending on how much music, etc I want to take with me.
My only beef (and probably everyone else who has one) with the new Nano is that the battery life could stand to be upgraded. All of my other iPods have a better battery life (even the 8GB 3G Nano I left unattended for a month after a software upgrade fiasco). I had to leave it at home on a recent road trip (7 hours round trip) because I forgot my car charger. I took my 80 GB Classic with me.

I love the ipod. Its very comfortable to hold in your hand. I bought the 4gb one so this website forgot the 4. I recommend the nano for everyone its very thin and its new features are very fun.

i bought my iPod 4th generation (8GB, green) about a week ago and i noticed that you have to charge it for about 3 hours but it only stays charged for about 2 and a half hours. it’s not a huge issue but it means that i have to charge it about 2 times every day (yes, i do use it that long). my friend says that hers stays charged longer though.
can someone please tell me why mine has such a short battery life and what i can do to increase it? it will be much appreciated :]
thank you!

Sounds like you have a dodgy battery - if its still under warranty try sending it back to Apple or take it into your local Apple store - they will be able to recommend what to do.

@Eric
This model didn’t come in a 4GB capacity. The 3rd Gen Nano came in a 4 GB capacity.

This is the BEST ipod ever!
i definitely reccomend it, & if you dont mind colors you should get the Red one, just because every Red ipod you buy it donates to people with Aids, which i think its pretty cool & nice. I got the red one for christmas and i love it, if you want movies and such on your ipod get the 8GB one because I have the 4GB one and it takes up almost all your space after 2 videos under an hour long. I recomend this ipod though, i think its better than the itouch and all the other ones!

I had the 2nd generation nano and now I have the 4th generation one. I hate how now my RoadTrip which I paid an arm and a leg for doesn’t charge it. WTF was apple thinking??? I’m glad that apple as a company is looking out for their customers here.. This is BS.
