The second generation model is less than half the size of the first generation model at 41.2 x 27.3 x 10.5 mm (1.62 x 1.07 x 0.41 in), and is reminiscent of the iPod Radio Remote available for iPod nanos and 5th generation iPods. Apple branded it as the "world's smallest MP3 player". This size includes the new built-in belt clip; the actual unit itself is thinner, with the entire device weighing only 15.5 g (0.55 ounces). The power and shuffle/no shuffle switches were also separated into two controls to prevent accidental choice of shuffle when that may not be the desired mode of operation

All I have to say about this iPod is that I love listening to my collection of Harry Potter audiobooks on it, and the fact that I can clip it to whatever I wear to avoid losing it. Only thing I was surprised about is that it’s not available in black. All of my other iPods are black. I had to get the silver Shuffle. I love it nonetheless but would have preferred a black model.

i love my little iPod Shuffle! it is so small and cute. i have a light baby blue, and it’s very durable. my friend has a first generation and he said he has put it in the WASHER a few times on accident and it still WORKED! i couldn’t believe it!…but these little pm3s are so great! i love them!!

they are pretty durable. but i had it clipped it to my side and someone bumped into it and bent the clip part, now it’s hard to get it into the charger. but other then that i’ve had it sense they came out in 2006 and it still works fine.

I think Apple needs to do at least one of the following to the shuffle:
*black
*longer battery life
*upgrade the memory size

I’ve had one of these, and they are adorable, and long-lasting [dont have mine, it broke, long story] The clip makes it great for anything! I loved it, especially when I went to the gym. It is also simple and very easy to work. Great for people who work out, and people who are always on the go, great for parents. The Battery lasts for a long time, and it comes in cute colors. I recomend this iPod!

One little thing they could’ve added: or, a couple of things.
Anyway…
*Remove 512 MB and replace with 768 or something.
*Black
*Small 4 or 5 LED battery gauge like on the iBooks, PowerBooks, MacBooks, etc.
*New dock connector (I know the headphone port is also for PC connctivity)
*Longer battery life
*And a sturdier belt clip.

i got the silver one before the colours came out which was annoying but they are so small and convinient. i dropped mine several times (even in the sink and the loo!) and it still worked. it only stopped working after about 2 or 3 years, not because i damaged it just because the whole battery went dead.

I got one of these for by birthday a while ago and the entire set up is pathetic! My parents tried to get music onto it but you needed a specific version of itunes store. We are still having problems with it trying to get music on and off, so this version isn’t my favorite so far.

Like this iPod, I have just sold my iPod shuffle 3rd Generation beacuse the headphone controls are hideous. Apple have no plan of taking this off the production line as it is so simple to use and is cheap. So what if it lacks a screen, I don’t care

my boyfriend rides hardcore bmx and this was the first ipod he bought for himself (not like getting one for xmas from the parents) so it was his baby cuz he saved for it… it was perfect. he’d put his favorite songs on it, it would shuffle and survive all the falls he had everyday during riding off huge ramps. he’s landed on it so many times and its still living tho he’s retired it and now has a 4th gen nano-chrom

Im a runner, so this was immediately the best choice as it was lightweight and i had easy access to its buttons. Just clip it on my running shorts and i could easily switch to my power run song or mild jog song thanks to the shuffle/order button. It’s just so awesome!
