These are nice. Drop it once and your gonna have to get a new one though.
Team Louish on August 26th, 2008 at 4:08 am says:
Not really Janie, these are so light weight, if you drop it, it won’t do much damage. The harddrive iPods are much heavier, resulting in much more damagae in a drop.

I got this Nano almost a year ago (Christmas 2007) and within 2 months had a software issue that I managed to sort out on my own. I have dropped it, sat on it, and thrown it and it still works 11 months later.

Does good for connecting to my in car stereo. Has not had any issues at all and works fine. Actually handling it for scrolling through songs is fine but you cant help thinking and more so – should I say realising that this nano is tiny and sometimes therefore clumbersome in its own right when trying to grip it – which I do a run and can be good yet pretty bad at trying to use the scroll wheel when in a quick glance motion such as sports. Battery is a bit on the poor side and videos – unless you want glasses then dont go there only for short clips. But playback is second to none and its pretty quick on the off mark.

I just got one of these refurbished for my birthday, and i love it. Cover flow is quick, easy and just plain cool!!!! The new split-screen Interface is a great visual improvement, and video is awesome. The new interface reminds me of Mac OS X Leopard slick look and feel. What does anybody else think?

i totally dig this ipod it hold plenty enough songs for me i’ve dropped it a ton of times, it fits in the smallest pockets, it’s light and i think it’s cute. but i’m curious to know if i can switch back and forth between a mac and pc uploading songs, i’m not worried about losing what songs i have on there just if it will mess it up…. i’m kinda drunk maybe i’ll just give it a shot… whats a hundred and fifty bucks?… oh like a half a weeks pay thats right…. so does anyone know if i can do that?

This is my favorite nano, and I wish the 4th generation kept the shape. I love how these are the square shape! It super cool. It also introduced cover flow, which is a plus. The screen is big, perfect for videos. And 8GB is all you need! I have a 4th 8GB.

I’ve had this iPod since it first came out, i’ve droped it alot, sat on it, thrown it, my dogs even bitten it and it works like its new. I’m saying its the best iPod because in my opinion the iPod touch is. But if you just want a simpler iPod consinder this one

I recently just got this iPod! I got a silver 4GB. I just got rid of my pink one of these because it froze and never turned on again. (it goes with my collection of a 4Gen Nano 8GB, 5Gen Nano 16GB, 2Gen 4GB Nano, 2Gen 1GB Shuffle.) I switch iPod’s for where ever I’m going, how far it is, and what battery is the longest. I recently even had Two musical festival, both approximately 2 hours away. I took my 4th gen nano for the first trip, but it died fast so the 2nd trip i took my 5th Gen. 16GB nano. All I need now is a classic for all trips! (:

My wife just got back from Iraq with hers. Pulled it out of the Speck case, cleaned the sand and grime off, put it back in the case. Still running after three years and two TDY’s. Numerous drops (get the Speck case) ans runs like a champ.

Great ipod. My daughter was jealous when I got my newer generation ipod from Dad. Just started using it after 2 years, got a case and good to go! Too busy living to mess with the ipod. After reading the comments (appreciate these), I would recommend buying the best you can afford and save your money for house, car, retirement. Then let your parents buy you an iphone, that’s what my daughter has now.
