it’s been more than 5 years but i STILL have my nano and despite the fact that i closed it in the car door and is now warped, it still functions perfectly the battery life may be pretty much toast, but i only use it in the car where it’s constantly plugged in so no worries.

i got the 4gb,great damn thing very great ive had mine only for a month (got it from a friend)except the battery one downfall of the bugger but hey its an ipod and its a definite upgrade from a 1gb 2nd gen shuffle

I have had this ipod for 4 years since last july and it still works and is in perfect condition.
The battery life is about 4 hours now and i’m soon to get mine refurbished and fixed to make it just like new

It was great until someone stole it yesterday (along with my handbag) – can anyone remember how much it cost to buy (May 06) as I got it for a birthday present and the insurance company want to know the value.

now here is a damn good iPod! i love these things! they are perfect in every i think, but yes the battery is a major problem. And the fact that they havnt updated the firmware in ages is kinda annoying, but that is all overcome by the sheer beauty of the thing. I love the older syles of the iPod, and the new Nano is pretty painful to hold after a while i have to say. I own pretty much all th iPod cuz i bought them from an op shop last year, and i try to update every time a new one comes out.
