Got an otterbox for it so it wouldn't be too badly damaged being mine. The only thing is that the battery life ain't the best. When it gets worse, though, I'll just crack it and put in a new one. But to answer you, get a wall charger and charge it that way. Look for the charging brick online.. it has a USB port and will connect the ipod dock cord to it and should charge our ipod. It took awhile to get used to and eventually I put my mini in a drawer and never saw it again. 4 months or so later, I was curious to see where my mini had gone.
